Coco, Lexi & Streets!

Coco's Bio-16 year old Female Chihuahua/Terrier Mix

-I adopted Coco in February 2005 from the DC Animal Shelter.  I worked at the front desk in the evenings and came across Miss Coco.  She was a feisty one!  I noticed that she didn't like any other employees except for me.  We became friends from her visits to the front desk to keep me company.  We became attached and at the time I stayed with my sister Tonya.  I had to beg her to adopt Coco because I lived with her at the time.  After thinking about it, Tonya found it in her heart to open our doors to Coco.
Coco's favorite past time- hanging out with Lexi and sleeping.  She can win a staring contest any day with her big lovable eyes!  She loves to be around me and I love her too!  In her younger days, Coco did her thing.  She didn't like men in uniform for some reason.  When you adopt an animal, you take the good with the bad.  You never know what they have experienced before you.

Temperament-She wasn't quite fond of other dogs when I adopted her but now that she is older she likes the company.  Coco & Lexi are very good friends.  Lexi checks on Coco in between naps and plays with her when Coco is up to it.

Favorite foods-Table food in general, she does not discriminate!  She really loves potato chips.

Lexi's Bio-4 year old F/S Cairn Terrier

Lexi is my mother-in-law's baby.  She was adopted at Fairfax Animal Shelter a couple of years ago by Kendra Glover aka Gigi.  They have been inseparable since but Gigi travels a lot with her job  so we watch Lexi while Gigi is gone.

Lexi's favorite past time-When she's in the house, she loves to chill on the top of the couch.  There is a rabbit in the backyard specifically under our porch. Every time she goes in the backyard, that is her mission: to investigate where this rabbit is hiding.  Her super nose powers usually gets her to the right spot but going under the porch is not cool!  Check her page out called "Lexi's Rabbit Adventures".

Temperament-Lexi is a cool dog but she is super energetic!  We have to watch the door because she adores the outdoors.  She can run about 100 miles a second, trust me I know.  Big dogs are no match to her, why she thinks that way I have no clue!  She will bark at the biggest dogs and think nothing of it.

Streets Bio-10 year old Male Pomeranian

In July 2010, Brandon (my future husband) went to the store.  He came back and made it seem like an old friend was going to stay with us.  He took me to the car and I saw this cute little face and reddish puff ball.  After a long search for his owners, no one came forward so "Mi Casa es su Casa!"  Brandon made me repeat after him that he is not my dog.  I did, but I treat Streets as such.  I can't help it!

Streets favorite past time- competing with Lexi for attention.  This is the funniest thing to watch in action!  These two will push each other out of the way.  Streets has a discrete or smooth way of pushing Lexi out of the way.  Then he'll get back in front and hog all of the attention.  He really likes to hang out with my son Earl Jr. aka E.J.  EJ adores animals and is learning how to treat them (EJ is 4 years old).

Temperament-When he first came home, it was a struggle to get him to relax.  He was flee infested, hungry, thirsty and some more.  A couple of days later, he began to like us and relaxed little by little.  As for Brandon and Streets relationship, it's getting better.  Brandon is used to big dogs so it's different for him to be gentle with small dogs.  I'm teaching him though, he's learning!  Mr. Streets is a player now, every chance he gets he is around the ladies!

Favorite Foods-He loves chicken alot.
